To tell you something about myself

I came to faith in Christ at the age of 19 at Calvary Chapel West Covina in California, under the leadership of Pastor Raul Reese. After several years of serving in the children’s ministry, I felt a deepening call to ministry and relocated to Riverside, California, to attend Survival Ministries—a discipleship and training program led by Pastor Bob Probert. While I initially sensed a strong calling toward missions work in Africa, it became clear that God had a different path in mind. Upon completing the program, I was invited to join the staff, where I had the privilege of working closely with Pastor Bob and being mentored by him.

During my time at Survival Ministries, I met my wife, Linda. United by a shared passion for missions, we were soon married. More than three decades later, I remain deeply grateful for her presence and partnership in every season of life.

Following our time with Survival Ministries, I joined Campus Crusade for Christ and served alongside  Rod Garton and founder Bill Bright for four years. At the age of 30, with three young children, I felt compelled to pursue further theological training and was accepted into the School of Ministry, directed by Pastor Chuck Smith and Pastor Carl Westerlund. Those two years proved to be both challenging and transformative—spiritually, emotionally, and intellectually. After graduating, I was invited to join the staff and began serving at the Calvary Chapel Conference Center and Bible College in Murrieta, California. In time, I was entrusted with the role of Director, overseeing both the Murrieta and Twin Peaks conference centers.

Later, Pastor Chuck invited me to relocate to Costa Mesa to oversee and direct The Word For Today radio ministry, publishing operations, and the Calvary Distribution Center. When Pastor Chuck was diagnosed with cancer, I sensed a pivotal transition approaching. Recognizing the need for a quieter environment to raise our three children—who were then entering high school—we made the decision to leave California.

We relocated to Park City, Utah, where we spent 14 enriching years. That season of life brought countless blessings, all of which stemmed from our decision to step out in faith and trust God’s guidance. As our children grew up and eventually left home, Linda continued her career as a flight attendant, while I experienced a renewed sense of calling. With a growing desire for change and a prompting from the Lord, we prepared for another move.

In 2020, we found ourselves in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico—a completely unanticipated move, but one we soon recognized as divinely orchestrated. Although we never imagined living in this part of the world, we are daily reminded that it is the Lord who directs our steps. We remain deeply thankful for the journey He has led us on.
